I was in a theater with mostly other "seasoned" gals, like myself, and we laughed our heads off. Everyone who's been "around the block" a few times will find some common ground with Doris.
..death of a parent, unfulfilled dreams, pushy, obnoxious family, younger and younger colleagues. The comedy fodder is deep and rich in this movie and Doris' adventures will sometime make you cringe.
Sally Field is brilliant (and Tyne Daly is the old friend we all have and love!) I highly recommend this movie...take a friend!
