Beautiful film. As a spectacle, Hellboy 2 is one the most creative comic adaptations ever produced. Del Toro's imagination in fantasy stuff rings out with great intensity. The performances are dead on and there are many fine comedy beats sprinkled in the otherwise formulaic screenplay.
