Review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) by Emma R — 05 Feb 2012

If the first film was Guillermo del Toro introducing us to the Hellboy character, then this is his imagination running wild in the world Hellboy occupies. The visual style is probably the most impressive of any comic book adaptation I've seen (The troll market sequence is a wonder).

I think its much better than its predecessor, mostly because it seems that del Toro has complete control of the film.
