Review of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) by Dave M — 10 Feb 2013

Very disappointed! Yes it is visually stylish and of course some of the effects are impressive, but where was the depth in the characters? The relationship between Hellboy and Blair was terribly silly, pointless and annoying at times.

So much so I feel I did well to finish the film. The more interesting characters(namely Hellboy's enemies) in the film where given very little screen time and as such their plight seemed of small concern.

Del Toro's worst film to date.
