Hellbound Hellraiser II is an impressive sequel to the original Clive Barker classic and for the most part I ended up being satisfied with the whole movie rather than hating it. The plot of this film takes place after the events of the first movie where Kirsty is sent to a psychiatric Hospital after her father's death from the first movie and when Doctor Channard learns from Kirsty about the puzzle box and everything else in the house Kirsty learns that Julia came back to life and discovers Doctor Channard's real plans and Kirsty must close the gates to hell with the help of a lonely girl name Tiffany who she befriended so that the gates of hell can be closed once and for all.

To be honest I didn't want to watch this sequel at first because from the trailer it looks shallow and quite decent. But when I watched it I ended up becoming satisfied with it and the whole movie is so good and well executed as much as the original Hellraiser and there are so many things that I like about this film.

What's great about Hellraiser II is that the whole film is bares a lot of similarities to the original Hellraiser. There are lots of similar parts in tis film that was in Hellraiser II. The opening scene with Captain Elliot Spencer solving the puzzle box and he gets attacked by the chains is very similar to the opening scene of the first film where Frank gets torn from limb to limb after solving the puzzle box.

The resurrection of Julia in her skinless form is also similar to Frank's resurrection in the first movie and Julia killing every women that Doctor Channard kidnapped so that Julia can regenerate her flesh is similar to the first film where Julia takes every men to the house so that Frank can regenerate his skin and every scene in this film has a lot of similarities to the original Hellraiser.

The other things I like about this film is that the whole film still has the rules of the original movie and I like how the film still follows the rules to which makes the film stay still and act as a better Horror film and I like that idea a lot in the movie.

The other things that I like about this film is that the whole film still has the atmosphere of the first film and the whole film has a lot of atmosphere from the Hell world until the hallways of the psychiatric hospital and I love the atmosphere of this movie a lot and the atmosphere is overall well used in this movie a lot.

One of the other good things about Hellraiser II is that the whole film has gallons of gore and blood and the gore effects are fantastic in this film and the deaths are also repulsive and super gory, extremely violent and shocking.

There are lots of deaths in this film that are repulsive. super gory, extremely violent and shocking. The scene where the patient uses a razor blade to slash his skin to remove the worms in his body is one of the most repulsive scenes in the whole film.

The killing of every women in this movie is totally disturbing. Frank getting his own heart ripped out is one of the most disgusting deaths within the whole film and Doctor Channard's demise is one of the most disgusting deaths in the whole movie and the last kill in the ending is one of the most intense kills in the movie and overall the kills are very good in this movie and the kills in this film is totally better than the kills in the first film.

The other things I like about this film is that the whole has an impressive soundtrack from Christopher Young who also composed the soundtrack for the first movie and I love the soundtrack of this film a lot and its even darker than ever and I like how this film managed to have the dark tones of the film and overall the soundtrack managed to create an impressive dark tone for the film.

The last things I like about this film is that the movie has a lot of impressive monsters and visual and special effects. The Doctor Channard monster looks totally fantastic and creepy as well while Pinhead and the Cenobites look wonderful as always while the skinless Julia is well effective and overall I like how the monsters look like in this film.

Now the acting is great the casts did a really good job with they're roles in the film. Ashley Laurence did a good job with reprising her role in the film as the protagonist Kirsty Cotton and she still looks gorgoeus and very cute and pretty as well not only her talents impressed me but her physical appearance totally impressed me as well.

Claire Higgins did a good job with reprising her role in the film as the antagonist Julia even the new casts like Imogen Boorman and Kenneth Cranham did a good job with their work in the film and of course the mighty Doug Bradley did a really good job with his role in the film as Pinhead and the casts did a good job overall with they're performances in the whole movie.

Director Tony Randel did a wonderful job with his work on the film and he literally followed the same footsteps of Clive Barker when Barker made the original Hellraiser and Randel did a wonderful job with his work on this movie a lot.

Overall Hellbound Hellraiser II gets a 10/10 because this film stays true to the original Hellraiser and still follows the rules and this is what I consider a well executed Horror sequel.
