Review of Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) by Damien K — 10 Jul 2009
Nice follow up to "Hellraiser", written by Peter Atkins. Although I enjoyed it a lot, the difference between the story based on Clive Barker's "Hellbound Heart" and this imaginative continuation of the cenobite mythos is apparent.
Thus began a whole body of visual literature in film and graphic novel series that can be fascinating in most aspects. Clive Barker claims to have given contributors free range in the unique hell he created while maintaining some small amount of control of the over all picture.
I have some mixed feelings about it, but this sequel was pretty cool for the most part.
