Review of Hellbound (1994) by Jordan T — 27 Mar 2009
In the battle of good vs evil you ALWAYS want to have Chuck Norris on your side because he will ALWAYS defeat Satan. That's right folks, Chuck Norris is Heaven on Earth. Another Aaron Norris directed classic, this little treat of a movie starts off back during the days of King Richard the Lionheart and immediately you're asking yourself "What?!" This introduces us to the villain played by the creepy as hell Christopher Neame, Prosatanos.
With a ridiculously low demonic voice, a loud laugh and bug eyes, Prosatanos brings hell to everyone he comes in contact with. At one point, dude rips a rabbi's heart right out the chest, and tosses a sexy hooker out the window.
When the damnsel was in distress is when Chuck crosses his path. Chuck as "Detective Shatter" takes no-nonsense, naturally, and charms the pants off of (figure of speech) Sheree J. Wilson aka Alex from "Walker, Texas Ranger" with a few questions and a smile.
He's also paired up with the stereotypical black partner who has the worst hairstyle ever that channels Rick James. Really predictable once we hit modern day, but contains just the right amount of the unintentional comedy I so desire.
