Review of Hell or High Water (2016) by Ian C — 12 Nov 2016
David McKenzie follows up the excellent Starred up, with this tale of two bank robbing brothers. It doesn't show us anything that we haven't already seen before in a crime flick, but it sends out a big fuck you to the banks, shows glimpses of why Trump got elected, is wonderfully shot with breathtaking cinematogrpahy and the three leads are outstanding.
One of the best films of 2016.
