Review of Hell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS (2017) by Sam S — 12 Jun 2017
This documentary is extremely biased and politicised. It neglects many aspects of the Syrian situation including but not limited to so called "peaceful" activists attacking and killing Syrian security personnel, the funding and arming of Rebels by the West and their Arab and Turk allies, the fact that the UN report on Ghouta could not attribute blame on the Syrian Government is overlooked and some of the Arabic translations are extremely dubious.
The experts presented offer opinions with very little evidence to support their assertions. As an example the claim that Russian intervention was 80% focused on "moderate" opposition forces is not supported by any factual evidence. In fact post Russian intervention IS has lost more territory and control than the entire time the so called coalition forces were "going after" IS in Syria and Iraq. A very simple search of Syrian controlled territory pre and post Russian intervention will show this.
Lastly the filmakers show the perspective of one family who clearly dislike the Syrian Government without ever presenting an alternate view.
