Review of Hell and Back (2015) by Justin B — 26 Oct 2016

Very hard movie to sit through. Despite a stellar cast (minus, personally, Nick Swardson as the main character) and wonderful world building and animation, the writing is God awful. Lowest common denominator jokes abound with plot threads that lead nowhere amount to what could've been an enjoyable 15 minute Adult Swim short being a difficult to watch feature length mess.

I did chuckle at some truly funny moments, particularly in cameos by Paul F. Thompkins and John Benjamin, but it wasn't enough to save the lackluster comedy and it really hurt to see some great comedians fail to hit the marks.
