Review of Heist (2001) by Duncan C — 26 Sep 2007
Gene Hackman's the master thief trying to pull off one last big job before retiring. Delroy Lindo, Danny Devito and magician Ricky Jay take some of the supporting roles. It's all about the cross, double-cross and triple-cross (maybe more, it gets confusing after a while).
The little tight-knit gang are endearingly professional. Mamet's script is wordy, but not as vitriolic as Glengarry Glen Ross.
