Review of Heist (2001) by Dave F — 19 Feb 2011
It's entertaining, the acting is excellent, and there are some great one liners, "Everyone needs money, that's why they call it money!" However, the actual heist is just too convoluted to offer any satisfaction.
The story goes off in ridiculous directions for the sole purpose of adding another twist. Midway through the film this becomes obvious and really detracts from the experience, drawing you out of the movie.
You've heard of overacting, this was overwritten.
