Review of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) by Matthew L — 30 Mar 2008
I enjoyed this, but not really much more than that. I never really knew what it was about and if I had known it was a rock opera/cult film, I probably would have stayed away from it. But I did watch it and ended up liking it more than I thought that I would.
My favorite part about it was actually all the music. It was one of the things that just kept getting better and better. Mitchell's acting and direction also made the film worth while. The animation and, at points, rather experimental film making was really great in my opinion.
In the end, this type of film really isn't my style, but I can easily see why it is so beloved.
