Review of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) by Tristan G — 27 Oct 2009
A hilarious, angry, and fun independent film. It's a musical about a guy whose sex change operation goes wrong and he projects his anger of having a deformity into his music. It's really funny.
I especially enjoyed the sub-plot of that woman in his band who had a beard and all the stuff that was going on with her wanting to be in stage musicals and Broadway and stuff. It really enjoyed the look of the film more than anything else.
John Cameron Mitchell is so likable, and so charismatic that it's impossible to really dislike it. Check it out if you want a real awesome and fun cult classic. And espeically check it out if you like musicals.
Definitely one of my favorites. Words cannot describe how much I love this movie.
