Review of Hector and the Search for Happiness (2014) by Matthew F. J — 02 Aug 2015
This is a great little film, uneven but sufficiently packed with good deeds, it will win you over. Some parts are better than other and overall the cinematography and special effects are really adding to the success of the film.
Pegg is venturing outside of his comfort zone and manages to be emotionally capable of making us care for his character while he goes through this journey of self discovery about happiness. Not the best film of the year but definitely a feel good movie that will lift you up and make you smile all the way.
Good effort.
