Review of Hector and the Search for Happiness (2014) by Jenny R — 16 Feb 2017
Dear Director of Hector and the Search for Happiness:
1. Africa is not a single country but rather a continent comprised of 54.
Individual countries.
2. There are no major African airlines that have livestock travelling amongst passengers on the plane.
3. Depicting Africa as a single country of drug lords, white saviour aid workers, and happy go lucky villagers is racist.
4. Creating a female Chinese character as a damsel in distress sex worker from a small town and eluding that this by spending a night next to her is a British mans way to happiness is sexist, and racist.
4. Watching this film was nearly as nauseating as listening to Donald Trump speak.
