Review of Heavy Trip (2018) by Umaumai — 22 Feb 2022

This movie has reignited my love of film and how to spend a couple of hours with interesting storytelling. It had such great heart and I loved the performances. I loved the setting and how everyone really fit their character.

I was really blown away at the places it took me emotionally as well as how silly it was. While somewhat grounded it borders on the absurd in a playful way. I laughed so hard at a scene that takes place in a zoo that now those images are were I’m going to go when I’m down.

If you’re into music, have ever been in a band or just want to check out something familiar and at the same time somewhat foreign this was fun.
