Basically what they did here was take the most obvious elements of the first one, turned it into one long story as opposed to a bunch of short ones, insert crappy fake ass metal from the turn of the century mixed it up and the results were predicatably bad.
A dumbed down, and much more boring, version of the original. I remember thinking this was bad when it first came out. 11 years later and my opinion remains. Shouldn't have ever been mad.
