Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Doctor Faustus A — 02 Jan 2008

Awesome animated sci-fi fantasy film. The early 80s old school metal soundtrack is wicked, and, with the crisp precision of current CGI animation, the hand-crafted classic animation style only adds to its appeal.

Best bit: The B-17 segment of the film. Brilliantly executed animation, a tight story, and zombies combine to set this one above the rest. Dan O'Bannon does it again!
