Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Alec B — 11 Oct 2008
Maybe if I saw it in the 80s with my high school friends while I was stoned out of my mind, the film would serve as a great nostalgia trip. Whenever I hear all those generation Xers talk about this movie, that's really all I hear, and now that I have seen it, it is really just stupid in so many ways.
The soundtrack and score are undeniably great, but the rest of the movie makes no damn sense to me. Oh well, maybe I'll try it high next time . . .
