Review of Heavy Metal (1981) by Edgar C — 09 Jul 2013
This film, somehow, is extremely hilarious (it didn't make me laugh though and you know why). Although suddenly the film tries to show sex just for showing sex, it ends up being very funny. The animation is very cool. Some stories are stylish, the other are heroic since they are taken from a popular magazine.
This peculiar Canadian film surpassed my expectations. It is nothing spectacular, but redefined the term "cool". Gory, violent, sexy, stylish, Heavy Metal conglomerates some of the most talented animators into a single, unique and somewhat ridiculous, but worth-watching animated feature.
62/100.
