A dark film about two adolescents whose grip on fantasy and reality blur. Peter Jackson make use of cool-weird visuals that complement the savvy and inventive narration of this twisted story, highlighting both the circumstances of the girls' friendship and eventual crime, as well as digging deep into the solace of their shared fantasy world.
