Review of Heavenly Creatures (1994) by James M — 28 Apr 2010
A surprising change of style from Peter Jackson from his early movies (Bad Taste, Braindead) with an adult fantasy based on a real-life murder case in New Zealand in the 50's. It's not as much fun as his earlier work, but Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey's performances are acted with conviction and the climaxes act of violence has a distinct Peter Jackson feel.
