Review of Heavenly Creatures (1994) by Alex H — 28 May 2014
Madcap performances and visual direction make this mostly a treat, but the freewheeling tone kinda confused the story for me. The inevitable end rushes up and I was like, oh yeah, this isn't really a coming of age story, I dunno what's going on.
It's interesting to see how Jackson's love for swooping revolving zooming crazy shots has carried all the way through LotR into The Hobbit franchise.
