Review of Heaven (2002) by Ripö M — 13 May 2009

I remember when I saw it at the movie theater I adored it . But now I see it again it kinda bored me. It is very well shoot. Visually is neat and lighty but the story is not very beyond the original. Cate Blanchett spends the whole movie like a zombie with her sleepy look (you can see it in the photos) and does nothing after the bomb, she is a puppet who we don't really believe she falls in love.

Tal vez el problema fue ver En el Cielo despuès de Azul, aunque ya habìa visto las dos y me habían gustado, escenas de azul se quedaron más en mi mente que varias de En el Cielo. La película esta perfectamente filmada, con un buen elenco y una historia que promete ser interesante y muy al estilo de Tykwer, sin embargo, conforme avanza el interrogatorio, Blanchett se vuelve un zombie con la mirada perdida que llora y hace todo lo que le digan, por lo que la historia de amor no me pareció muy convincente por parte de ella. Tiene momentos muy bellos que se acercan a lo cursi pero están tan bien hechos que sólo por eso vale la pena verlos. Pero emocionalmente ya no me atrapó.
