Review of Heat (1995) by Taplinger — 13 Mar 2019
It's the cinematic equivalent of internet click-bait. A cast you can't resist and then when you click on it cinematography that captivating.
My advice to all: Since you can stream it for free, watch Al Pacino over-act in his first scene. Has to be an accident, right? How could an actor with his talent over-act? Then the second scene, then the third, now it's no accident.
Now is the time to turn it off, before you find out the script is one cliché after another interspersed with unlikely coincidences and illogical action.
The worst should have been the best - De Niro and Pacino in their one scene together, sitting across a table having coffee, both dead as cold bacon, mouthing cliché after cliché.
