Review of Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991) by John H — 30 Jun 2007
Couldn't find this anywhere so I downloaded it. Very interesting and informative. While some of it does ruin the illusion that the epic movie creates, it is interesting to watch as Coppola spirals downward as he tries to take on a gargantuan project.
From what I heard before watching the movie, I thought it would be alot more dramatic and edgy. In a way, it was kind of a letdown, but still very dramatic nonetheless, especially for an aspiring filmmaker like myself.
Interesting and different look at the Apocalypse Now experience, yet not a classic.
