A fierce and harrowing documentary about the insanities of the making of Apocalypse Now. This laid the whole troubled production of Apocalypse now and stripped it bare where we could make sense of how the production was so troubled.
It gives context to Francis Ford Coppola's infamous quote "This movie isn't about Vietnam. This movie is Vietnam." The deeper you get into it's story, the more things go wrong. It's like watching a train wreck where you just can't look away no matter how deep the troubles pile up.
