Review of Heartbreak Ridge (1955) by Justin C — 07 Jul 2007
Similar in many respects to the Dirty Dozen, Heartbreak Ridge is another of my favorite military movies. The movie does a very good job of weaving together two stories, that of a career military man seeking redemption for his past sins as he tries to find his place in a world that does not need him and the story of a hard-nosed vet trying to teach a new generation of recruits how to be soldiers.
It's a story with both action and depth.
