Review of Heartbreak Ridge (1955) by Tom D — 19 Jul 2011
Heartbreak Ridge is another classic movie completely carried by Eastwood's bad-assery. He exposes himself as an olding veteran who can outdo the drab of youths in his platoon. Unfortunately, since the movie was literally held by eastwood, and eastwood alone, it would have been very average, if not below, with a different protagonist.
Heartbreak Ridge is Major Pain, but with more finess, gut, power and charm.
