Review of Heart of Glass (1976) by Tom C — 11 May 2010
Unreservedly unprecedented in its acting methods, the questionable and unconventional way the actors conduct themselves under full hypnosis does actually work towards the film's benefit. The industrious glassblowers and the clear-headed prophet are the only characters who exhibit sanity or cogence, while the catatonic villagers fall apart in front of our eyes.
A thoroughly enjoyable Herzog flick.
