Review of He Never Died (2015) by Reggie M — 15 May 2016
It's a film that feels a bit like John Wick in the filmmakers' decision to tell a simple, straight forward story, focusing on kick-ass, with just enough misdirection to make the odd plot twist feel well earned. And if "Died" suffers from the comparison to Wick in the action realm it more than recoups with Henry Rollins' performance. He crushes this character.
This is a film that feels a bit like First Blood. A tight, well told story featuring a fascinatingly inscrutable character that we need to see again, on a bigger stage. Henry Rollins was born to play this character.
