Review of He Loves Me… He Loves Me Not (2002) by Paul W — 09 Jan 2008
Well acted, well scripted and occasionally a little too drawn out in the second half. The surprise mid way is to be expected but it still a wonderful twist. Audrey Tautou is a wonderful actress, where as Samuel Le Bihan isn't quite as interesting from his point-of-view, which grows a bit tedious.
Director Colombani expels too much energy trying to misdirect the audience, and too little trying to uncover the psychological realities that underlie her story. Yet, it was an entertaining and fun film to watch.
