Review of He Knows You're Alone (1980) by Private U — 22 Aug 2007
A really bad rip-off of John Carpenter's original Halloween. Even the musical score is nearly the same. It's dull and anemic, except for a great opening sequence in a theater that later influenced the opening of one of the Scream sequels.
The killer's identity is never concealed eliminating any type of suspense or intrigue whatsoever. He looks like a middle aged gym teacher with a weird, glassy stare. This one is notable only for being Tom Hanks' first cinematic outing.
