Review of He Knows You're Alone (1980) by Brandon D — 14 Mar 2008
Most of the violence is implied, so there's not a lot of gore in this slasher flick (the fish tank scene is the exception). It would have been better for the audience to NOT know the killer's identity from the outset.
Another thing I didn't like was the killer's M.O. changes just for the sake of a body count. The original title was BLOOD WEDDING, but MGM changed it to something that doesn't even work with the movie.
Did they even watch it? The movie comes full circle with the ending, which was lame. This was the 1st movie for Tom Hanks... and Dana Barron (VACATION's Audrey Griswold).
