Review of Häxan (1922) by Tristan P — 14 Jun 2008
Incomparable, deeply unsettling docudrama, and almost certainly my favourite silent horror film (although The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and The Unknown are close contenders, too.) Even the offbeat, 1960's redux with narration from William Burroughs is fascinating, although not as compelling as the original version.
