Review of Hawk the Slayer (1980) by Nathan A — 26 Feb 2008
This is one of the greatest movies ever filmed... They tried SO hard to make this movie so great. With a villian named "VOLTAN" you know you've got a keeper. The robot talking elf, the incredible quick shot camera trick,silly string and neon bouncy balls special effects.
.. and to top it all off... The script is simply immaculate! "I am no messenger boy... but I will give you a message... the message of DEATH!" "VOLTAN! You will DIE... by this sword!" John Terry (Jack from LOST) shows incredible skill as he stares down his opponents for what seems like hours before he wipes them out in sometimes less than a second.
I give this movie 5 thumbs way up.
