Review of Haunted Honeymoon (1986) by Joseph M — 16 Jul 2007
Gene Wilder stars and directs this comedy horror film made in the 80's.
Larry (Wilder) and Vickie (Gilda Radner) are tow famous actors who travel to a large mansion that Larry's family owns for their wedding. Unfortunatly, Larry suffers from a great fear of thunder and lighting and it is recently effecting his acting, therefore his uncle decides to trick him into not being afraid anymore.
With other family members involved, the trick is that they will scare the living daylights out of him, therefore curing him.
However, someone at the mansion is REALLY trying to kill Larry to get their hands on the family fortune!
Gene Wilder is brilliant as he always is in 'Haunted Honeymoon' and Gilda (Gene's real wife) is also very good. As is Dom deLuise) who plays unt Kate - the drag queen!
The set up is great, the comedy is brilliant and the storyline is really quite good!
A fun watch for anyone up for a simple little laugh!
