Review of Hatchet II (2010) by Regan M — 13 Feb 2011

I don't really understand why people love "Hatchet". I mean, it's just a mix of every slasher you have already seen: the plot is meaningless, the monster is bad done and ridiculous, main characters are stereotyped. What's the sense? And how can you compare that pussy of Victor (yeah, he's a pussy, defeated by a tiny and cute girl... shame on you, loser) to real icons like Michael Myers, Leatherface or Jason Voohrees?

This movie is nothing more than blood splattered here and there (and I prefer Miike's works, if I want to see some good gore), nothing else.

And don't say me: "Hey, it's a slasher, they're all the same!" 'cause nowadays there are though nice shasher movies like Rob Zombie's ones, or the first two chapters of "Saw" and blah blah blah and, men, they're gold if compared with "Hatchet".

I can't stand empty movies with empty characters and stupid dialogs.

Oh yes, by the way this sequel is better than the first one. Not an hard work to do, in very truth. And I like Adam Green as director, but "Frozen" is much better than this trash.
