Review of Hatchet (2006) by Luis B — 10 Mar 2011

Blood, Gore, Tits, and Laughs. It's a trip back to the 1980's inspired slasher flicks with real effects that they just don't have anymore, and "Hatchet", independently made by first timer Adam Green hits every note perfectly. The silliness in the plot, the actuallyintentionally hilarious comedy, and the 60 gallons of blood, severed heads, torsos, ripped off body parts, and a gas powered sander shaving off a jawline. Very well made, and a promising director who's already made another classic, "Frozen".

In the bayou of Louisiana is a ghost of a severely deformed child, named Victor Crowley. When a boatful of tourists get stranded in the swamp, the nightmare begins.
