Review of Hatchet (2006) by Charles R — 09 Jan 2013

Supposedly one of the best slashers of the decade, I just don't get why. There's great kills, some genuinely funny moments and a fun villain in Victor Crowly, all of which barely saves the film.

It's also got a dull and repetitive setting, plus as the more amusing characters start dropping dead the movie becomes more and tedious. It was nice to see appearances from a couple of minor horror veterans, including the actor who portrayed the infamous cyborg Jason from Jason X as this movies main villain.
