Review of Harvard Beats Yale 29-29 (2008) by Daniel K — 16 Oct 2009
This is the first movie I have ever seen on my iphone. I watched it on the plane back from a biz trip and it was killer. It is such a great documentary. I loved it.
The cool thing about this doc was not so much the subject, though the game itself was great, but the interviews and people talking about it.
This doc shows a number of people that are normal (probably many of them successful) and that happened to play football for the two most prestigious universities in the country.
These are not the expected mumbling semi literate idiots from the good football programs. These are possibly lawyers, doctors and engineers - oh and Tommy Lee Jones and some dude that date Meryl Streep.
This little project is a great reminder about how a great movie can be made from any subject, no matter how small or irrelevant.
Recommended by all accounts.
