Review of Hart's War (2002) by Georges F — 07 Oct 2007
Racism constitutes the foreground of this movie. The circumstances that led to the trial of the black lieutenant are what you would expect of typical racist society. The merit of this movie is to highlight racism in the military which is in direct opposition to fictitious situations as illustrated by The Patriot. Although the story is narrated from the viewpoint of Lt. Hart (Colin Farrell), the key character is Col. McNamara (Bruce Willis). You will discover that another story is being built in the background and will be revealed by the end of the movie.
This is another after-September-11 movie whoâ??s only purpose is to revive the sense of patriotism and heroism. I can say that it does so without too much exaggeration.
