Review of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) by Matthew D — 30 Nov 2013
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (original book title and UK film title)is abnormally faithful to the book, something that most blockbusters don't do. The leads' acting seems to me actually quite amateurish; but their acting skills develop as the series grows.
Overall, a film that doesn't shock but has a nice texture to it.
