What a charming movie! The storytelling and acting were magical. Can't say the same thing regarding the CGI. The films first 2 acts were wonderful. However, I can see people complaining that they relied too much on world building.
The third act, while great, was not as wonderful as acts 1 and 2. Also, the chess battle never worked for me. Overall, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's stone is a magical start to a magical franchise.
