Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) by Andy B — 14 Feb 2013
Well, we finally get to see Harry fight the bad guy, sort of. At least I can sense a resolution to what 6 movies have I suppose built up toward. This installment went for the Lord of the Rings approach as we see loooonngg slow portions of wandering around looking for things.
Where there was action it was interesting and well made, moreso than usual as it did actually add to the story. I especially enjoyed the tale and animation of the Deathly Hallows back story, it was, I think, the best part of the whole Potter movie series so far.
This just makes me wish even more that they had stuck to whats important from the books rather than try to cram everything in possible. I'll never question again why most (good) movies cut out a lot when adapting from a book.
