Review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) by Thomas J — 14 Jul 2014
This one is the best Harry Potter movie for two reasons. It is the movie that stays the most true to its book and it is also based off of the best Harry Potter story. The scene when Ron and Harry figure out what's inside the Chamber of Secrets is so well put together, as well as almost every other scene in the movie.
Kenneth Branagh is great as Gilderoy Lockhart, who in my opinion is the best one-time character in the Harry Potter series. He should have come back for the fifth, which is a reason Chamber of Secrets is better than Order of the Phoenix.
For those who think this is worst Potter film, you don't recognize true genius when you see it on the big screen.
