Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Jim D — 04 Aug 2010
From soundtrack to pacing to script, casting and direction this is as close to a perfect movie as one can get. I saw this in junior high school on its first release and it has had a huge influence on me ever since.
Some parts are a bit dated but the black humor is timeless and its message is one that we all need to embrace from time to time. We can't take ourselves or our lives too seriously. And remember, if you want to sing out, sing out.
