Ruth Gordon (Rosemary's Baby 1968; My Bodyguard 1980) shines here. The unlikely pairing of a guy that is obsessed with death, and senior that is obsessed with life. The two go on a magical journey together; both having all their questions answered.
Even the audience walks away from this one vindicated (in a sense).
