Review of Harold and Maude (1971) by Dany P — 23 Feb 2009
From today's point of view, the twelve-year-old looking Harold is the prototype of all emo kids, and even besides that, his obsession with death is extremely entertaining. So is Maude's ignorance towards any existing rules.
Even though the age difference of 60 years between the two protagonists seems creepy at first, you can perfectly understand how they fell in love, and you'd have wished them a classical happy ends.
The way it turns out, the script avoids any cheesiness and makes this film a deserved classic.
